The iButho Living History Group

The Group seeks to raise public awareness of the Anglo-Zulu War and Victorian military life in 1879 by actively researching and publishing information and recreating the uniforms, equipment and character of the Victorian soldier.

In addition, to create an awareness of the life and achievements of the men who took part in the conflict through close liaison with descendants and to foster a spirit of co-operation and friendship with other descendants and other Groups with a similar interest in the Anglo-Zulu War.

The Group aims to identify and, where ever possible, arrange for the cleaning, restoration and re-dedication of  the graves of Anglo-Zulu War participants.
